Need a few last minute ideas for Halloween costumes that won’t break the bank? Look no further, these ideas will not only be cheap, but a lot of these items you might already own!
Audrey Hepburn Breakfast at Tiffany’s
Break out the LBD and pearls, find some elbow length gloves and a tiara and you have yourself a costume.
For the hair, twist up in a high bun and leave a light fringe down and curled under. For makeup, think classic cat eye and a bold brow.
Believe it or not this can be done with items most of us already have in our kitchen! Prep needs to be made the day ahead (like, today) and can be done simply with paper towels! Here is the list of materials and the how-to.
Silent Film Stars
This is a great couples costume and requires very little provided you have an old suit and vintage dress.
Makeup gets a little tricky with contouring but keep the shades in the black, white and grey tones. For the hair, if you are unexperienced, a vintage scarf or headband works best. The best way to fake a vintage style would be to use a very small curling iron on short hair and brush it out to create a wave. For longer hair, try tucking up the back to fake a bob and style accordingly.
It doesn’t get any more slimming than this.. Either paint a ribcage onto black leggings and a T shirt or cut up the black fabric with white exposed underneath. Get the template for the ribcage here.
For makeup all that is needed is black and white. For a great step by step go here. Hair can be as wild as you want it to be, tease for a messy effect.
Tom Cruise in Risky Business
Let’s not forget about the guys! For a fool proof men’s (or women’s) costume, all you need is a button down long sleeved shirt, socks and tighty whiteys. Don’t forget the microphone, air guitar and a slippery surface to get this one just right.
