Before Blonda (left) after washing and styling (right) – not a major difference in the photo but I did get asked by a coworker if I colored it today

I went a little lighter with my hair for summer and personally like a little less warmth.  On my skin tone I prefer a cooler blonde so I washed and conditioned with Blonda to see how much cooler I could get it.

Blonda works best on lighter blondes who might have hard water or iron in their water.  It’s not meant for too much warmth and can’t cut through orange-y tones.  I noticed a little tonal shift in my hair but I use this on my blondes in the salon who have gold and it cuts it out with one wash.  Yellow and purple are opposite on the color wheel, so they will neutralize each other.  As will red with green and blue with orange.  I think my hair needs more blue to neutralize the warmth and it’ll be perfect.

The smell of this product is fantastic.  I love the smell of grapes and both the shampoo and conditioner have a distinctive grape smell that will ever so slightly hold the smell once dry and styled.
